His Worship the Mayor, Cllr A.M. Mkhize, together with Ward Councillor Mr. Shelembe and other councillors, officially launched the rehabilitation of Hajee Jamal Street in Ward 6.<\/strong><\/p>\n

  • Consultant: Mzolo Consulting Engineers<\/li>\n
  • Duration: 10 months<\/li>\n
  • Local Employment: 11 residents from Ward 6<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Scope of Work Includes:<\/p>\n

    • Removal of unsuitable material and replacement with G5 fill<\/li>\n
    • Layer works stabilization<\/li>\n
    • Cleaning and repairing 43 stormwater drainage structures<\/li>\n
    • Resurfacing with 40mm premix<\/li>\n
    • Landscaping, road signs, and markings<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Mayor Mkhize emphasized that this project brings long-awaited relief to residents who have been calling for the rehabilitation of this road. He further assured that more infrastructure developments are on the way – including road upgrades, streetlights, and stormwater improvements as the rainy season approaches.<\/p>\n
