New Ward Councillor Officially Sworn in
Winnie Madikizela Mandela Local Municipality (WMMLM) officially welcomed Cllr Nceba Mtyana, who was formally sworn in today, 23 March 2026, as the new ward councillor for Ward 14, replacing the late Cllr T. Dlamini.
Cllr Mtyana is formally sworn in as a member of the WMMLM Council by the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) to fill the vacancy left by one of the council members.
Honourable Speaker, Cllr Z. Mhlwazi welcomed the newly appointed Cllr Mtyana and highlighted both the responsibilities and challenges of serving within the municipality.
The swearing in ceremony was conducted by the Municipal Manager, Mr L. Mahlaka, who officially received the councillor on behalf of the municipality.
