The Office of the HOD provides strategic and administrative leadership to the KwaZulu‑Natal Department of Transport, developing and driving the strategic plan, APPs and multi‑year delivery frameworks and translating policy into operational plans, targets and budgets; it establishes performance monitoring, evaluation and reporting systems to ensure timely statutory and management reports and informed corrective action;
